Based on Jim Henson's the Dark Crystal, I experimented with how to adapt the setting and characters into a 2D animated series using digital puppetry. Taking place long before the events of the Age of Resistance, this series focuses primarily on the skeksis and examines their disturbing society from an insider’s viewpoint.
I do not own any rights, and this was made purely for myself. All the visuals and writing contained within were made by me and were not made for any sort of profit.

Kel may not know it, but he is at the center of an interstellar conspiracy—his friends, his lover, and his enemies are united against him to hide the truth—the president was poisoned, and it was an inside job.
Kel, is a veteran of the Jularan resistance and confidante of President Sana Galeri. But when Sana is attacked under mysterious circumstances, Kel must confront the truth about the war that divided his planet, the secrets at the heart of his closest relationships, and the unanswered questions of his own violent past.
His world is thrown into political and civil turmoil as Sana's enemies vie for power and it's up to Kel to uncover the culprit. But Kel's attempts to uncover the truth lead to a string of revelations that shake the foundations of his newfound peaceful life: his friends have been lying to him, his government is seeded with traitors and spies, and his own memories can no longer be trusted. With every piece of information, the truth becomes more and more apparent: Kel is not who he believed himself to be.
It is only when he travels to Sulfirian space and confronts the very colonizers he has spent his life fighting that the pieces come together: there has been a sleeper agent in the inner circles of the Jularan resistance since the beginning, and that agent is Kel.
Periodically activated by encoded transmissions from the Sulfirian government, Kel has been unconsciously providing intel to his greatest enemies, setting them up to regain power in the aftermath of the colonial uprising.
Devastated and furious, Kel must confront the truth about who he is and who he wants to be, questioning whether our histories must define us or if there is always a chance for redemption.
